Bona Terra

For the longest time this was “the” place to go eat in Pittsburgh. In a way I think it started the serious Pittsburgh as a foodie city movement. It’s a shame it closed but at the same time it’s possibly better that it did since we’ll never have known a bad Bona Terra meal.

While the interior was not the most comfortable (bad seats) the food was always wonderful. To this day I have never had duck done as well as was Chef Douglass Dick could make it.

One of my favorite meals ever was here.
