First visit with The Antols and we were all pleasantly surprised.
Located in the Alphabet City Center, Casellula is a wine and cheese bar with an impressive list of sharable plates along with full dinners, a nice wine list and some tasty desserts.
While the room is tight, it feels just right. Sit down at your table and have the Fromager (think Sommelier for cheese) pick a selection of their cheeses to go with your wine. After that, pick a few shareable plates and snack away.
Make sure to leave room for dessert, the chocolate cake was very tasty. Downers: No espresso and a limited cocktail menu (but there is a full bar) and the oh so flat chairs.
