Paris 66

Our first visit to Paris 66. Not sure why it’s taken us so long to get there.

First off, the staff is very nice and attentive contrary to what some folks on urbanspoon may say.

Food was very good. It was a cold night and we sat on the patio which may not have been the best idea of the evening but the food made up for it.

We split:

  • Assiette de Formage
  • Quiche Lorraine (which we both really liked)
  • Chevre-Chaud salad (The Chevre was melted onto baguette – awesome)
  • Pommes Frites and aioli
  • Earl Grey and Pistachio macroons
  • buche noel -White chocolate and saffron (sorry Ken)

The food was so good we’re going there for Christmas Eve dinner this year and the buche noel was so tasty we ordered one for Christmas morning.

Update: Back for Christmas Eve…very crowded with lots of fun people watching activity. We both had the Prix Fixe menu (which they nicely swapped out the fish course for a nice beet caprese salad for us.) We should have ordered off the regular menu for the main course but the French Onion soup was excellent as was the Beef two ways that Mary Catherine had. My duck was over done and a little tough. All in all a very nice way to spend Christmas Eve dinner.
