901 Very Good Cocktails (901VGC) by Stew Ellington started out as an obsessive passion, transitioned to a Kickstarter project and ended up as a book on our kitchen bookshelf.
901VGC is a great reference of cocktails of all sorts presented along with some very nice photographs and artwork. It has a nice hard cover, pages that are easily cleaned (and not easily torn) and a spiral binding to make it easy to lay flat. (Read that last part again Mr. Boston publishers.)
A downside to 901VGC, there’s no easy way to mark the pages as to what drinks you have tried and how you liked them. While the pages are easily cleaned they are not easily marked. With that my plan is to use this page to jot down the cocktails we’ve tried…we’re not setting out to drink all 901 of them but, as they say, variety is the spice of life. Some of these are classics that we’re trying with the 901VGC recipe, others are new (to us.) This may or may not work but here goes…
