This was a surprisingly good tour. After several attempts, Chris Deluzio‘s office came through with tickets for us.
While the tour is self-guided, there is no real time limit. You get in the door and can then take your time walking and looking. Yes, it is limited to a few rooms but it’s worth the effort. It was recommended that we ask questions of the secret service (are they really secret if we were told to ask them questions?). Each room had an agent, and each agent was attentive and ready to answer any questions that popped up.
The detail in the rooms, the quality of the finishes and the overall design was remarkable.
If you go, ask what they have at the giftshop that’s NOT available at the White House experience shop across the street – it seems to change so you never know what you might get 😉
