Polymath Park

We took a weekend, rented a place at 7 Springs and spent part of one day at here touring two Frank Lloyd Wright houses that had been moved to Pennsylvania.  We toured the Duncan House (originally from Lisle, Illinois built in 1957) and the Mäntylä House (originally from Cloquet, Minnesota built in 1952).

The houses are small and the tour is short, about 30/40 minutes per house.  This is very much a do if you’re in the area kind of tour but it’s not a go out of your way to get to it tour.  While the guide is knowledgeable, they are not the equivalent of the docents at the other Wright properties that we’ve visited.

You can spend the night in each of the houses which makes for some interesting additions to the houses, (a keurig in an FLW home, that’s weird.).

Regardless, it’s an interesting place to visit, especially if you’re in the area touring the other two famous Wright homes nearby
