We used the ferry to get from downtown to Coronado Island…it’s a boat and it gets you across the bay. Nothing fancy at all but it’s quick and on time.
If you go, be prepared to walk…a lot. The zoo is huge and you’ll want to see it all as the landscaping is wonderful everywhere you go.

We stopped in for lunch on a walk over to the Hotel del Coronado. It’s French, they have spritzes and cheese, what else do you need?
A must visit if you’re anywhere near San Diego. Take the ferry over, walk the island and stop in to visit.
Beautiful interior, great service. Cocktails were good as was dinner.
