A walk in a cemetery is always relaxing, in the Montparnasse Cemetery a walk is relaxing and a bit of an adventure.
On our 2024 visit, we met a lovely lady who decided that it was her mission to show us the lesser known graves. We saw Charles Pigeon, (lamp maker), Tatiana Rachewskaia with the strange story of “The Kiss” as well as the interesting Jewish section where groups of non-related people would be buried together in order to pay for the burial site.
