One of the places I really wanted to go in Paris to eat after seeing it on the Anthony Bourdain Paris show. Since they don’t take reservations I had my doubts we were going to be able to get in but we went for an early dinner and got a table right up front and got to watch the place unfold. A great atmosphere with lots of great people watching. We sat next to a group of guys (chefs I think) that talked to everyone…it was quite a “show”.
We had Braised beef & veggies, assorted fromages, A creme brulee with a balsamic vinegar sauce (awesome) and some Lillet. The food was good (not great) but the atmosphere and crowd made it a place I’d go to again for sure.
Back again for both breakfast and dinner in 2024. We were able to get breakfast since we stayed at the wonderful Hôtel Relais Saint-Germain on that trip. Breakfast was simple and good as it should be. Dinner was as good as before with the bonus of meeting some nice folks from Washington DC that we chatted with on and off during dinner.
