It amazes me how many places like this we’ve not been to. We’ve lived across the river from Hoffstot’s for years now and never made a visit. It’s as old school Pittsburgh Italian as you can get. Go if you’re hungry, not if you’re on a diet. You get your soup or salad, bread and oil, main course plus a side then there’s dessert. Sure, it’s a little outdated inside but the service is great and the food is good.
