Rijksmuseum

This was a nearly all day affair…
An enormous museum that never really felt crowded. While it’s known for the Milkmaid (w) there is so much more to see here. By the way, why are these uber famous works always super small?

The space itself is beautiful, being able to see the ongoing restoration of Operation Night Watch was fascinating. The Willem van de Velde wing was a favorite, the library was amazing.

The Cafe was excellent…it sat on a mezzanine overlooking the main entrance, the food was outstanding. The gift shop was, as expected, great.

Don’t forget the biplane, the amazing gardens, the Napoleon (badass!) or the countless large scale works scattered around the museum.

This easily ranks in the top 10 (top 5?) that we have ever visited.
