The Twisted Frenchman

Located in the space formally occupied by Notion the Twisted Frenchman does an excellent job of replacing Notion’s high end, very stylized presentation format in East Liberty.

The space is small and simply decorated, comfortable and casual.  There’s a small drink list – we tried the Paris High Tea which was good but nothing to write home about.  The Herbert Beaufort Champagne was very good as was the Fleur De Marville.

Our dinner was fantastic.

All were excellently presented.  While each looked like a substantial amount of food but they were all lighter than expected.  Neither of us walked away with that full feeling even after two appetizers, two main courses and two desserts.

The Vanilla custard dish was light and fluffy, it tasted like a Creamsicle, and was a delight to eat.  The Frozen chocolate had a bit of theater to its presentation (go see for yourself) and it too was light and fluffy with a very good chocolate taste to it.

All in all a very good evening indeed.. Another stupid COVID-19 loss.
